The premier home run hitter in WV of all time. Jack played in an era where there was no player classification, today he would be on the “Major Player List”. One of only 2 players ever in WV that would be on that list.

 A  All State 3 sport athlete from Williamstown considered one of the best athletes to ever come out of the mid ohio valley played football at WVU and baseball in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. Doug who played for such teams as Jimbo’s, Harlow Lime, IVS and Time Out Bar was a smooth fielding shortstop who was courted by the legendary Richard Howard of what is considered to be the best softball teams of all time Howards Furniture of Denver, NC. Although his career was short he is still considered on of the all time greats in WV.

 

Doug lead his teams to 3 WV state open titles and an Ohio state titles, multiple All-tournament selections and tournament MVP's. Help lead Jimbos/Harlow Lime to a runner-up finish in the 1970 ASA Open National to Howards Furniture.

Legendary pitcher for Hadley Funeral Home that dominated womens fastpitch throughout Ohio, West Virgiia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. A "Sling Shot" pitcher during her career the speed of her pitches where never measured but she was banned from playing in Pennsylvania.

Multiple MVP's, ASA All American, All Tournaments, Professional fastpitch with Milwaukee Racers.
